These past few weeks have been very busy as I work on completing my last few college applications and balancing all of my school work. I will admit that I am not as on top of my work with ISM as I had hoped I would be. However, I am quickly correcting that as I put together my final original work, which is a guide on the impact of culture and current events on business. In addition, I got the idea of creating my own consulting matrix that is equipped to be more culturally sensitive and up-to-date with 2025 current events as my final product.
More specifically with ISM, I believe that last year’s presentation experience will be very beneficial as I work to put together my research speech, but I do feel the added pressure of being a good role model for the ISM 1 students to look up to. That said, I am excited, since I do love public speaking and I’m looking forward to sharing what I’ve learned about language psychology, its impact on business relations, and how culture shapes regional operations and practices. Overall, I cannot believe that we are already almost at the end of the first semester. I am definitely looking forward to having some time off during winter break, but before that I look forward to feeling accomplished once I see all my work come together in my completed research speech.
