I cannot believe that it is already 2026, but this year brings a lot of milestones, namely my 18th birthday, graduation, and going to college. Within ISM, I have gotten a mentor for the business side of my topic. Her name is Neha Jain and she brings over a decade of experience in the consulting industry, and I have worked with her informally in the past as she guided me through case study analyses. I am very excited to have someone who can better guide me through consulting research and practices that I do, while my other mentor Mr. Vargas supports me with the language and culture part of the process.
At the moment, I am primarily focused on creating, or I should say revitalizing, my display board. I realized that my color scheme and the overall structure I have envisioned for my display board this year are fairly similar to that of my board last year, therefore I have decided to try to reuse my board from last year if possible. Besides that, I am thinking of building a consulting framework, flowchart, or matrix for my final product. This would be something that illustrates the general solutions that have been proven to be successful ways to deal with the most common consulting issues. Things within the ISM program are definitely picking up, but I am excited to see what opportunities this semester will bring.
