Last week was a bit chaotic with trying to prepare a professional display board on such short notice, but I got it done with my mom’s help. I am very pleased with how it turned out and when I sent my mentor a picture, she had the sweetest reaction, exclaiming “OMG! I’m on the poster!” I wish I could have included more visuals, however, I love how it aligns with my color scheme and looks very organized. In addition, I have been working on updating my website with my mentor bio and original work portfolio. It has been so exciting to see it come together and be a true reflection of everything I have accomplished in ISM thus far.

The Frisco ISD district showcase is less than one week away, so I am currently focused on inviting my guests and thinking of the main points I want to highlight when presenting my board. Although I wish my mentor could come in person, she recently moved to Chicago so she will not be able to attend. That said, she has been incredibly supportive and requested that I sent her pictures. We also discussed ideas for my final product, and I think that I have decided to do a guide to consulting for high schoolers. This will include content that I have learned and think will be beneficial to anyone considering a career in consulting. Some topics include job responsibilities, possible pathways and recruitment, case studies techniques, and presentation skills. Now that I have a more concrete idea of what I want to work on this semester, I am looking forward to creating my final project and sharing my experiences on Wednesday at the showcase.
