Weekly Report 8: Recommendations from Hawaii

A teacher once told me “Success does not take a day off.” While that is partly true, I managed to do both during my time in Hawaii. I spent the days swimming in waterfalls, posing at beaches, and parasailing across the ocean. After that, I returned to the hotel room to create slides for my research speech and work on my original project.

My case study has been generated by ChatGPT and it centers around a small fashion company needing suggestions to improve their consumer base and profits. So far, I have conducted a SWOT analysis on their current circumstances, and I have begun brainstorming some potential solutions. My goal over the next few weeks is to solidify my recommendations and create my final recommendations presentation.

On a separate note, my slides for the research presentation are complete and I have started writing my script. I am looking forward to this opportunity to practice my public speaking skills again. I do not typically get anxious about speaking in front of a crowd, however, I have never given a speech this long before, so it will be a new way to challenge myself. I love being outside my comfort zone, since it gives me a chance to grow professionally and personally.

Overall, I did miss my routine during Thanksgiving break, but it was amazing to be in Hawaii with my family. Despite relaxing, I did get quite a bit of work done, and I am ready to be back at school and continue my ISM journey.
